Frat Parties Aren’t for Me

This weekend hasn’t been as productive as I wished it was. Saturday, my plan was to come back from rehearsal and then make flash cards for my systems physiology exam. I was gonna take a break my going to see Milk again because it was so amazing! Sean Penn definitely deserved best actor!

Instead of plans working as they should, my friends bailed on me for the movie and said that they wanted to go to a frat party. I debated the idea because I didn’t finish my flash cards. I decided that since I go to frat parties often I should check the scene out. I figured I might meet some men, who knows? I figured I would wear something that gave the signal that I was gay so that it would be easier to find other guys.  This I wore a pink t-shirt; that by accident shrunk in the wash. It was a little more flaming then I usually go for but I just went with it.

We got to the party extremely early because my friends were afraid we weren’t going to get in. As soon as I walked in the door I felt out of place. The house was filled with tough (and very cute) frat boys. This was totally going to be a straight scene. As the night went on, all five of the girls I went with, including a girl who had a boyfriend, started dancing with other guys. Everyone was paired up on the dance floor. I felt so awkward; it was the first time I kinda felt threatened for being gay. The frat boys kept giving me look the entire night and I was dead sure I was going to be thrown out. I finally walked home alone, leaving the girls there together around one. Moral of the story- frat parties are not the place to meet your next gay boyfriend! haha
